Yes, and either DMA or the install process will add them right back. IOS Enhanced media resources don't play any role in this.

Software media resources are added automatically and cannot be deleted.

After an upgrade from 4.x to 7.x what would happen if you don't delete your media resources (eg. xcoding / cfb / etc) and rebuild them as enhanced IOS XXXX?
