I had to upgrade to P00308010100 before P00308010200 . caution: you'll have to upgrade any7914s to S00105000400 first.

from release notes:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7960g_7940g/firmware/8_1_2/english/release/notes/796040_812.html

Note You cannot upgrade to firmware release 8.1(2) directly from firmware release 8.0(10) or an earlier release. You have to upgrade to firmware release 8.1(1) first, then upgrade from release 8.1(1) to release 8.1(2).

Funny enough. I just noticed 8.1(2)SR1 has release notes.

Subject: [cisco-voip] CallManager 4.1.3 and 7940s with 8.0(5) SCCP Load not upgrading

In CallManager 4.1.3 I installed cmterm-7940-7960-sccp.8-1-2.exe, restarted tftp service, rebooted server (for other reasons), my phones are all 7940s running 8.0(5). The new System > Device Defaults shows the 8.1(2) load as the default, however rebooting 7940s running 8.0(5) they don’t pickup the new 8.1(2) load on reset. Am I missing something?
