Not sure on the first one but monitor the second.  Most of the battery backed up array accelerators will have battery discharge cycles to extend battery life.  If yours doesn't go away then the battery isn't charging and if it goes then your disk performance will fall through the floor.  You'll want to replace the battery before that happens.
