[cisco-voip] CallManager 8.5/8.6 LDAP Integration

I think there's some confusion between what the ldap filter does.

The filter is to allow you to customize which users are sync'd into CUCM. It does not allow for manipulation of date in ldap at the time of import.

See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996205%28EXCHG.65%29.aspx for some basic ldap query stuff.

What are you hoping to accomplish?

we are E164 LDAP and use Application and directory lookup rules to bring it back down to 4 digits.

too bad there isn't an 'advanced' section like in Unity Connection where you can extract the last X digits.

not sure if this thread helps:

Cooking with unix is easy. You just sed it and forget it.

I recall at Cisco Live you could filter incoming LDAP. But I can’t recall what the scripting language was called. I remember going to the scripting website which looked similar to regular expressions but didn’t bookmark it.

In my case customer’s AD is E.164, I want to filter/remove E.164 in the LDAP integration/synchronization to just the last 4 of the extension.

Or is this feature in 8.6 ?
