I was going to say some sort of routing issue between the IPs, maybe vlans….gl

can't recall what it said, it was in a test environment. both servers were on a switch with a wr erase performed. the only thing i can think of is i didn't have a portfast configured now that i think of. so that might be the next thing i do during troubleshooting.

What’s the traceroute show from each PC?

And what does the traceroute show from the switch to each PC?

I have a couple of SuperMicro PCs running CentOS which can not ping each other when on a Cisco switch, but they can ping each other on a hub. I have to grab a cheap consumer switch to test on as well but thought I'd shoot this out to the group to see if anyone has seen anything like this before.
