Initial digging says to use "NULL" in the field for PLAR translation patterns. Looking further for documentation or such.

Nope. Workaround was I put a Translation Pattern 2 then via CCMAdmin deleted it. Easier to delete then add all the fields.
Back in 7x I saw more cases when you could export but couldn’t turn around and import that right back in/overwrite existing. Most of those cases have been fixed.

Is there an @ anywhere in your CSV? The error reads like it's for an entirely different pattern.
