Hi,

We have a few ATA 186 devices which are connected to analogue door phones, which have a single button on them which, when pressed cause the device to go off hook and autodial a predetermined number.

Everything is cool, except that the device relies on the Called Party to clear the connection at the end of the call. However, when the Called Party clears down,. the ATA does not and the analogue port remains in an off hook state, and the door phone then keeps the audio path open and plays the various error messages / tones for ages until it eventually times out.

Is there a way of making the ATA clear down the Calling Party connection immediately the Called Party clears down?

Thanks

Simon
