It is aging and needs to be updated for the "Unified Communications" 6.x/7.x/8.x families, but....
Cisco Press "Cisco IP Telephony: Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation, and Optimization" is much like an SRND with explanations. It walks you through a deployment step by step with best practices. I believe it is one of the most practical Cisco documents ever written!

I would recommend the IPT Troubleshooting from cisco press by Giralt,
its good reference.
