Hi Thomas, same problem here. There is a Bug, not solved in 8.5
I opened a TAC request, these is the response of the TAC engineer.

The thing you see here is already reported at the Bug CSCtg27977:

Unfortunately this defect is still under Release Pending status as our
development Team didnt generate the resolution yet. If you feel it highly
impacts your system and you need it to be generated automatically, I
recommend you to contact your Cisco Account Manager in order to post an
enhancement request asking for a permanent resolution.

Dear All,
at a customers site I installed a recent version of CUBAC. The CUCM is
synchronized with Microsoft Active Directory. The Phone Number of the actual
CUCM User is a full E.164 whereas the actual DN of the phone is just a five
digit number. The presence server is showing the correct user status whereas
CUBAC is showing nothing. To view the phone status (not the user status) I
need to add the MAC address of each individual phone in the local
installation of the client.
Any hint or recommendation is appreciated.
