beats me but I'm sure the crash MS had with their hosted exchange a month or so ago gives people more than a pause if they really want to leave their email systems in even MS's hands....
I think that since Cisco is supporting unity connection with bpos dedicated, this just opens up that option. Seeing how Cisco is also offering hosted CUCM/Unity/Unity Connection/etc... I think this may be an option for those companies that are open to having everything but their accounting systems be managed and housed by someone else.

How much more does BPOS Dedicated Cost ? what are majority of customers running BPOS Standard or BPOS Dedicated?
I stil assumel Microsoft Support will not support BPOS Standard with 3rd part apps.

someone was asking if it was possible to use unity connection with microsoft's hosted exchange...it is possible now with 8.5.1SU1+
Support for Microsoft BPOS Dedicated Environments
In Cisco Unity Connection 8.6 and later, you can configure Connection to synchronize voice messages in Connection user's mailbox with the user's Exchange mailbox configured on Microsoft 's Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS Dedicated) environments. This support is provided only on the BPOS Dedicated environments not on the BPOS Standard environments.
Note For BPOS Dedicated support, Connection must be running 8.5(1) SU1 or later.
