Oddly, the release notes say that the SU1 ISO isn't bootable but I just installed off of it. I currently am unable to apply the patch
Feels like someone is just a little bit too much into their groove.
Are you using UCS?
If so you might want to check out this little doozy...

Performance of UCCX on VM Platform
If hypervisor edition is running on Cisco/Non-Cisco Virtualization Servers is ESXi 4.1, the changes mentioned below is mandatory. TCP communication between UCCX virtual machines deteriorates to extremely low levels if this change in ESXi 4.1 host is not performed.

I am setting up an 8.5.1 HA setup now and having issues with the HA license also. Are you on 8.5.1SU1 or the original FCS release?

Does it matter how you change a single uccx 7.01 install into a 8.5.1 HA install?
In other words, is it better to make the uccx 7 installation into an HA installation and then upgrade or upgrade the single uccx 7 box and *then* turn it into a clustered 8.5.1 installation?
Having all kinds of headaches with 8.5.1 thinking that its HA license has been deleted but if you upload the HA license again it gives a duplicate license error every few days or so. I doubt it's an issue with mixed C210 + MCS. . .
