I've had that experience on regular servers and switching to FTP helped seemed much faster. there is also some parameters on esxi 4.1 that affect tcp/ip performance i can't find it right now but the fix is listed in the 8.5.1 Release notes for UCCX or CUCM

Subject: [cisco-voip] Slow Upgrade via SFTP

Hi All,

I have noticed something on the last CUCM 8.5 installs I’ve done on C-Series UCS servers.

Uploading Upgrade Files or device packs etc via SFTP is REALLY slow (about 1 MB a minute) even on the same LAN.........I have used the same SFTP client/server (freeSSHd) many other times on non-UCS servers and never had this problem with speed.

Tried to disable iothrottle but says that this function is not used anymore........anyone else experienced this?

Russell
