[cisco-voip] media check failure notice

If you see a big fat scratch on the disk or some other sort of visually verifiable defect after it fails, then maybe you can depend on it being truly bad.

I just gave up on the media check after watching and waiting a LONG time to check three CUCM 8.0.3a DVDs and convinced myself that Cisco screwed up and the media was all fine even though the media check was indicating otherwise.

Does this new fixed media shipping via PUT come labeled “This version passes media check”? What if you set a new 8.5(1) disk down next to a old 8.5(1) disk, can you somehow tell which one passes the Media Check?

What a quality control snafu.

Just in case you were doing media checks and wondering why ALL of the media was failing.
