The BU has told us UM is included at no extra charge. If you have CUCXN 8.5 you have UM. There is no new Licensing entry for enable/disable of UM. FWIW, All CUWL VM licenses come with the Advanced Features for VM.

For the MP ports, meeting hosts and schedulers have to be CUWL Pro Licensees, AFAIK this is just an honor system enforcement. You are correct on the 10 ports for 100 users count.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Cisco Unified Workspace Licensing

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me with some CUWL questions.

  1. With Unity Connection 8.5 and a CUWL user will Unified Messaging be licensed with a standard CUWL user? In the past the IMAP advanced licence which is now single inbox also LicIMAPSubscribersMax was a seperate licence?
  2. With Meeting Place 8 specifically meeting place express media service and webex node how is licensing handled with a CUWL Pro user? If you purchase 100 CUWL pro users you get 10 video ports is that correct ? those 10 ports could then be shared across all the CUWL standard users? or has this changed in 8.5? Or is this locked to certain users configured as pro CUWL users?
This is for an 8.5 cluster CUCM, Unity Connection 8.5 and meeting place 8.0

thanks,

Daniel
