[cisco-voip] Local RG & CFA

I would contact the carrier and ask them if they can allow that DID range to dial out. Sometimes they can modify their translations tables to permit it. Seems to depend on the carrier.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Local RG & CFA

Hi guys,

A coworker is having a similar problem to the one discussed on this link: https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3216959.

Basically there are two phones (A and B) in different locations, going to the PSTN using the local RG.

When phone B has a CFA to a mobile phone (local to that site) and phone A calls to phone B, it selects the local RG from phone A to go to the PSTN. Of course when it goes out on this site the numbering plan from the PSTN is different than the one from site B, therefore the PSTN prompts an error regarding the called number.

We could start adding patterns to solve this, but that would go against the idea of using local RGs.

The question is if someone knows how to use for this kind of call the local RG from phone B if that phone has a CFA.

Thanks!
