1. Don't leave RTMT running when it isn't needed.
2. proactively restart Tomcat during a low activity time (middle of the night, etc).
While you wait to patch get a list of all RTMT clients that are pointing to your servers. You will have to reinstall the app on every one of them after the upgrade.
