[cisco-voip] Show controllers E1 Applique type

Hi all,
Can anyone inform me what the Applique type actually means and the differences between balanced and unbalanced from the show controllers E1 command. I cant seem to find anything meaningful.
The circuit in question is a isdn r2 in Brazil
1 0/0/0 is up.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - unbalanced
Cablelength is Unknown
