I think you're gonna need to do some searching on the forums and CCO in order to get what you want for your particular version.

The last time I was trying this out, I searched for "CiscoIPPhoneExecute site:cisco.com" and it helped.

Here's the first link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/all_models/xsi/3_3_2/english/programming/guide/ipphs332.html

It's old, but it should get you started.

I believe after v3.x Cisco started using the developer network and SDK for documentation.

http://developer.cisco.com/web/ipps/resources

You can see quite a few resources there... I think it's the X.Y(Z) IPPS Applications Development Notes that you want..

Good luck.

Before anyone says “buy a product”, I’m doing this as a learning exercise. I WANT to do this myself so I can customize it to my exact needs.

Here’s a question I’ve been researching and can’t seem to find any documentation on.

There’s a url on the phone’s web interface which allows you to send xml messages to ‘control’ a phone.

(<CiscoIPPhoneExecute><ExecuteItem URL="' XXXXX'"/></CiscoIPPhoneExecute>)

For instance, I can send the XML to activate the speaker button or press a certain softkey.

Is there documentation anywhere for the different values of ‘XXXXX’ for different keys?
