Thanks Nate. 

SMPP is the protocol used to send SMS messages. 

I'm testing the waters to send SMS messages to their mobile phone when they get corporate voicemail. This will help with the SNR deployment. 

P.S. We're not on 8.5 yet since we're still working out UCSS issues. It's not cheap. :(

Can someone who's running Connection v8 do a small test for me? 

I'm looking to see if v8 will support more than 4 digits in the port field for SMPP provider. 

    • System Settings > Advanced > SMPP Provider 


You'll have to add one first with basic information, then continue to add the port information.
