is there a step by step document that covers this all? i mean, if i were to go with a TRC solution, would i still have to search hi and low for all these 'gotchas' ?

And one final thing – need to make sure VMWare tools are updated in-line with ESXi version 



I’ve spun up 8.6(2a) with ESXi v5 so get the use the easy methods - 3 or 4.

One other gotcha - We use pair 6509s with VSS teaming so needed update vSwitch to accommodate

is there a document available that describes all the settings for ESXi that UC works without problem on UCS. 
One thing that I found is disable LRO on UCS. 
Are there other settings???
