yes, that does look like a great document. thanks again.
i'm still crossing my fingers we can install on our existing hardware. it only means having to buy another box (or two) for a new licensing server.

Buying a TRC / C-Series negates having to scope the physical layer completely, leaving only a handful of ESXi settings to get right before dropping UCM over the top.
By far the best reference article is this one – even though most of it links through to the wiki;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/virtual/CUCM_BK_CA526319_00_cucm-on-virtualized-servers_chapter_00.html
Side now - I am just having way too much fun configuring this cluster (coming from v6.1) and chrome support makes it just that little bit better.

thanks again.
is there a step by step document that covers this all? i mean, if i were to go with a TRC solution, would i still have to search hi and low for all these 'gotchas' ?

And one final thing – need to make sure VMWare tools are updated in-line with ESXi version
I’ve spun up 8.6(2a) with ESXi v5 so get the use the easy methods - 3 or 4.

we'd need that! can't get to the KB though. will have to look for it offline.

One other gotcha - We use pair 6509s with VSS teaming so needed update vSwitch to accommodate

I’ve just configured a pair C210 – main things in ESXi you need to do are disable LRO and align datastore partitions by essentially deleting and re-adding the stores in ESXi
Long as you use the OVA templates no need to worry about VM specs

I also took the liberty of updating the boot order (demoting NICs an disabling PXE boot)

Hello Group
is there a document available that describes all the settings for ESXi that UC works without problem on UCS.
One thing that I found is disable LRO on UCS.
Are there other settings???
Thanks for help
Reto
