Im running CUCM 8.6.2, CUC 8.6.2 and CUPS 8.6.3 with Jabber for Mac
8.6.2 (18515) and VM works just fine for me.

My VM settings in CUPS:

VM Server:
web service port 443
web service prot HTTPS

VM mailstore settings:
Port 7993
protocol type TLS

Give that a try, I dont remember changing anything special on the CUC server.
