The directory sends the didgets enbloc I believe. You might want to check route plan report for patters beginning with 18 or 1X or 1[any other wildcard].
See if there is something else in there, like a translation that is grabbing the key presses and performing urgent routing after the second digit.
It sounds like you've messed up your route plan somewhere.

The weird thing is that you can call through the directory if you look the name up and hit dial but not directly. And it is only that range. 1700’s

Check calling search space for the phone. Make sure the partitions of the extensions are part of the calling search space.

We have different DID ranges in our company. 18XX 17XX 25XX 08XX and so on. We can dial 4 digits to any extension but just the other day I tried to dial 18XX range and I can dial 1 but when I hit 8 it says “Your call cannot be completed as dialed”. This was never a problem and I’ve tested it from other DID extensions and you can dial the full number externally so where would I look to see what the problem is?
Thanks
