[cisco-voip] UTF-8 encoding and 7965

Hi all,
in my 8.5 CUCM cluster i have installed greek locale and also i have 
installed greek locale for 7965.
I have built an application that intercepts the call, looks up the ani 
in a database, and returns the call to the dnis (originally called 
number) with the display of the caller name.
The string that it sends is in UTF-8, max 20 characters.
All phones in the company (6961, 6941, 7925) display fine the greek 
caller name but the 7965:
1. shows boxes when user locale on the device is English US and
2. nothing (only the number of the caller) when the user locale is Greek.

Is 7965 somehow different than other phones? do i need to do something more?
There is great lack of information regarding this in cisco.com
