You could however, record a custom greeting for a call handler that dumps into a directory handler.

Correct. It's a roadmap item with no committed release yet.

I recall Unity Connection 7.0.1 doesn't allow you to re-record the Call Management > Directory Handlers >  System Directory Handler. Anyone dis-agree?
