[cisco-voip] Unified Provisioning Manager on CUCM-BE 6K

Hi All



Has anyone installed the CUPM Provisioning Manager on CUCMBE6K in VMware,
this appears to be the only Linux version available and the docs are not
great as I do not know Linux can anyone help me with the following for
configuring the network parameters, especially step 2, 3 and 4, I’m not
sure how to do this and it doesn’t explain how



*Configuring the Network Parameters*

To configure the network parameters:
 ------------------------------

*Step 1 * Open an SSH terminal and login using root/Cisco at 123.

  ------------------------------

*Warning * You must change your root password using the passwd command
after the installation process. Also, make a note of the initial root
password (Cisco at 123) as it may be required to perform OS tasks in future.
 ------------------------------

*Step 2 * Open the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0* *and
update the device MAC Address, IP Address, and netmask.

*Step 3 * Open the file /etc/sysconfig/network and update the server
hostname and gateway address.

*Step 4 * Open the file /etc/hosts and add the IP and hostname mapping
details at the bottom.

*Step 5 * Run the following command from the command prompt:

*hostname* *XXXX*

where *XXXX* is the hostname of the server.

*Step 6 * Run the following command to apply the network configuration
changes:

service network restart

*Step 7 * Run the following commands to make all changes permanent:

/opt/system/bin/carssh -s /opt/system/etc/carscli/default/main_tree.par -c
write mem

*Step 8 * Shut down the VM instance.

*Step 9 * Power off and then power on the VM instance from VSphereClient.
To do this, choose *Inventory > Virtual Machine > Power.*
