[cisco-voip] 7937 conf phone external mics

Has anyone purchased the CP-7937-MIC-KIT for the 7937 conference station phone? We have several of these phones, but have recently purchased our first mic kit, consisting of two external microphones attached to the phone with mic cables to extend the audio range in a large room. Problem is, we get no audio from these microphones. I've searched everywhere for tips on resolving this but can't find anything. Can anyone advise?
