As far as  I know it's specifically not. There is a discussion in the partner community over this and  a PM responsible for the area has said it's in the works but no ETA (as usual) He is also looking for feedback on reasons to push the approval forward.

Where did you find ESXi 5.1 was supported?  I only see 5.0
