The only restriction would be the installation checking for adequate and required resources. If the 8.6 install doesn’t like it, it’ll tell you pretty quickly.

I’m deploying CUCM 8.6 on a C210M2 but plan to upgrade eventually to CUCM 9.0.x.

For the 8.6 deployment is there any reason I can’t use the cucm_9.0_vmv7_v1.5.ova template?  Really the template number 9.0(1) has nothing to really do with the version of CUCM deployed. The details indicate the OVA template is for any version of CallManager supported on any version of supported hardware…..
