Thanks Nate. That command will help. Unfortunately, from what I recall, they changed the HP specs a few times and they didn't always update the server status, i.e. h3 to h4. 

I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and get a few dual layer DVDs.

Do you have cm installed on any of the same servers? If you do, login to the CLI and show hardware 



It will tell you what kind of server it thinks it is. It doesn’t make a distinction if you have a cisco label on the front or not. 



admin:show hardware 



HW Platform : 7825H4 



Then it’s a bit easier to look up supported servers. I think I also read that any server that can do CM 8 will also do CM 9.

we're not on VM yet. what i'd like to do, is pop a DVD into the HP servers we have to see if they come up with the software to install. reading documentation on these "swonly" spec'ed hardware to see if they're supported is not easy. poping in a DVD and seeing that the software will install is about as sure as i'm going to be.

Why would you burn it? 



Just put it on the ESX host, or do an upgrade during install.

So I downloaded the CUCM v9 ISO from PUT, and it doesn't fit on a 4.7 GB DVD. :( 

Am I doing something wrong? Are we supposed to be using 8.x GB dual layer DVDs for these? 

There's nothing in the download docs that say anything about this unfortunately.
