It installs on the active partition only.

You don't need to do anything with the old version, unless you want to roll back to that one.

After reading the security notice below [1], I'm looking at installing cmterm-CSCuh01051-2.cop.sgn on our CUCM 9.1 cluster.

While preparing for it, I noticed that we have two partitions:

Active Version: 9.1.1.20000-5
Inactive Version: 8.0.3.20000-2

If I were to install the .cop file, will it apply it only to the active partition? If so, how do I upgrade the version on the inactive partition to match our current software levels, so I can use that as a backup in case the patching goes south?
