[cisco-voip] Fax Server Suggestions for ACME SBC VOIP SIP

We have Xmedius and I can’t get it to work, it will fax out but I can’t get it to receive incoming faxes. I thought that it was a Verizon issue with not supporting T-38? Not sure what to do about it. Do we need to move all the fax numbers that we used to use with a software called Facsys when we had only PRIs to SIP?

Any suggestions?

Hi, Scott,
Since you have used both could you provide some pros or cons about each?
Thank you, Tom

Why the need to run it through a SBC?

If I were in the market for a Fax server I would hands down go with Xmedius. I used it at my previous employer and loved it. we currently have Right Fax at my current employer. It's good as well, but I much prefer Xmedius.

YMMV

Our shop is basically an end to end Cisco Voice\data network. We have been asked to look into a solution which would allow subscribers to receive faxes in their Cisco Unity Connection 8.6 subscriber accounts. We know about the fax server solution from Cisco Unity but we would also like to know if there is another option that will work with ACME SBC SIP.

Thank you,
