I use Cisco 794x and 796x series phones with a Clear Captions server works great on 8.5, have several hearing impaired users using it and one is part of a call center group. Caller info is displayed directly to the persons phone so they don’t have to have any special type of phones and cool thing is if you contact Clear Captions they will give your company the server for free. Its all paid for by the taxes on your companies phone bill.

Yeah, I was thinking this would be a good native feature for a Cisco IP phone. Not sure if it's an automated feature or someone behind the scenes is typing away.

I support a hearing-impaired user on UCM 8. She uses a less fancy
version of this phone. It's analog so it's behind an ATA. It'd be nice
if there was an IP version of this unit.
