[cisco-voip] Add new SUB to Production Cluster 9.1.1.10000-11

Credit for this bug goes to Ryan Ratliff, also lurking on this list.

The behavior certainly creates some difficulty. Unfortunately it was necessary due to incompatibilities between the underlying base OS in the various versions.

Wes, You write this!

Right?

And I can confirm because I've tested that situation.

Thanks Chris,

Yes indeed:
CSCud91310 CUCM Install Guide needs to mention upgrade during install restrictions

Upgrade with install to later (major.minor) version is now blocked.

I'm not aware of anything preventing this path. Can you say more about what was attempted, where the media was sourced, what troubleshooting was done?

Yes, is correct Van.

Is NOT possible use Bootable 9.0 CUCM and use the Patch/Upgrade procedure to go on 9.1.1.10000-11. After some time, the procedure stop with error of "Incompatible version upgrade".

So, what can we do?

I need to ask Cisco if exist a Bootble version of 9.1.1.10000-11?

Thank you.

I found recently this won't work with CUCM 9.0.

Hi Alice,
You can install from the 9.0 bootable image and tell it to look for a patch/upgrade as part of the install.

Hi all,
I need to add a second SUB on a production Cluster composed of1 PUB + 1 SUB that are in version 9.1.1.10000-11.

But I don't have bootable ISO of 9.1.1.10000-11, because the cluster was upgraded from 9.0 version.

What Can I do?

Thank you for the answer
