I think your solution will involve moving everyone to a xml file you have to write (both macs and pcs)  which I don't like. It creates a lot of work.

Does it work in the office?   If not part of a domain how is the directory lookup occurring?

The Jabber Administration guide has some good details on this.

Hi all,

Has anyone run into an issue with Jabber directory lookup with a MAC that is not on a customer domain? I have a customer that I setup with SRST across a site-to-site VPN. The customer is claiming that the users on can't do lookups, yet all the other features of Jabber work. MAC OS 10.7, Jabber for Mac 8.6
