[cisco-voip] Upgrades prohibited... *sigh*

The plan was to get the PUB 100% on 9.1.2, kill the old sub forcing the
phones to the Pub (reordering CM group to make PUB primary just in case)
and then rebuild the Sub from scratch on the same IP/host and/or build a
second SUB and reorder the CM groups etc. The problem is we've been given
strict guidelines of no more than 5 minutes down time and unfortunately
there's no time or equipment to rebuild in a siloed network and just spin
them up.
I'm curious what are the ramifications? Perhaps I'm overlooking something
but how is this much different then having to rebuild a sub from scratch if
it fails?
Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks
