If you scroll down on the bug report you will notice that this bug was terminated. I think someone from TAC filed a bug on it and someone reviewed it and realized that it is not a bug and that the devices are still supported.

This seems goofy. Are they saying the ATA 186 won’t work with CallManager 9x due to end of sale of ATA? If that is the case how about them 7960s, etc and everything else end of sale?

Subject: ATA 186 shown under the Devices on the callmanger version 9.x, Terminated CSCue05040

Symptom: According to the compatibility matrix on callmanger version 8.6 and version 9.x in the documentation for compatibility put out by callmanger BU: http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/vtgsca/VTGServlet -ATA 186 is not supported on callmanger versions 8.6 and version 9.x -Besides this ATA 186 is End of Sale since 2010 The Problem : =================== ATA 186 is seen in both the device defaults page and the page for adding new phone > ATA 186 when it is not supported This leads to customers thinking that ATA186s are supported on callmanager versions 8.6 and version 9.x Please correct the device defaults and the Device > Phone > ATA 186 to not show the ATA 186 as it is not supported.
Conditions: callmanger version 8.6 and version 9.x
Workaround: n/a
