[cisco-voip] CME Voicemail on Remote Unity Connection

Guys,

Just wanted to give an update. I did get Voicemail working on the remote CME via PRI QSIG. Thanks for the info on that Nate. I did have to enable multi-tenant MWI on CUCM to get the MWI light on the CME phone to turn on. At least it wouldn’t turn on until I enabled that in CUCM. I didn’t have to do any special translation patterns either.

Thanks for that link. I guess I was looking more for a full CUCME to CUC integration best practice, which is why I linked the SCCP and SIP integration guides. The more options the better though.

You would need IP connectivity between CUCME and CUC, not the just T1, and that's because you only have a SCCP or a SIP option to integrate CUCME to CUC.

SCCP:

Guys,

Is it possible to provide voicemail services to CME users on a single router connected thru an h.323 gateway thru CUCM to Unity Connection? I am pretty sure I can get the calls forwarded to the voicemail system, but not sure about getting MWI to work on the phones behind the CME router.

Basically, this would be the path.

Unity Connection <> CUCM <> Gateway <> T1 <> CME Router <> User Phone

Unity Connection version 9
CUCM version 9
CME version 10

Thanks,
Bill
