I figured something more elaborate might work since CM is already using a wildcard for the data within ipPhone field already (iphone=*)?  ☺

I think AD fix is going to be the best solution here in this case.

If you're trying the edit the telephone number field in CUCM for corporate directory, you're pretty much stuck updating AD.

Your other option is to make the full numbers dialable as on-net by adding translation patterns.
