Accidentally hit send to soon. You need to map ipphone to something:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/11_0/CJAB_BK_C1247C0B_00_cisco-jabber-parameters-reference-guide/CJAB_BK_C1247C0B_00_cisco-jabber-parameters-reference-guide_chapter_01001.html
WorkPhone maps to telephoneNumber in AD by default
You would need something like this under the Directory section if you want
to use the the OtherPhone field and leave WorkPhone the same:
<BDIBusinessPhone>ipPhone</BDIOtherPhone>
<OtherPhone>ipPhone</OtherPhone>
