[cisco-voip] alternatives to Uplinx?

I have used both Variphy and Riverbed UCExpert to do diff reporting. Both
work pretty well and have a lot more features than just config.

We went with Riverbed because it integrates with our network gear and
supports Lync too.

Thanks Anthony - I do like what I see, I just wanted to know if there were
others out there. It's always good to compare products.

The biggest thing I'd like to get out of the tool is to understand the
changes made between reports and by sifting through the audit logs, who's
the likely culprit.

I'm not clear on why Cisco has decided not to implement some sort of
detailed audit logging which records who made what changes and when, not
just who accessed a certain web page. With enough forethought and planning,
you could build an "undo" function. Granted, you'd likely have to undo a
set of actions, but it's better than nothing.

That was a strange way to word the email. You like what you see, but you
want an alternative?

I have an aversion to using an Uplinx report for an as-built, as it doesn't
enable you to see the forest for the trees. Just running SELECT * FROM
numplan WHERE tkpatternusage = 3, and cramming all Translation Patterns
into 90 pages of an MS Word document, is not exactly an as-built.

That's more a problem of the usage of the tool, and not the tool itself.
In fact, the tool seems to be built really well, and it's very
customizable. Oh, and I do like how it provides explanations for each
section of the report.

What is the problem you're looking to solve with Uplinx or another similar
tool?

Are you talking about the Uplinx Reporting tool
<https://www.uplinx.com/reporttool/> or the Backup and Change History
<https://www.uplinx.com/configuration-tracking/> tool?
