WebRTC for Jabber Guest has been on its backlog since its release. ☺
I know of no immediate plans to implement it. Sorry.
If you haven’t used Jabber Guest before, I suggest you try it, the plugins are not onerous at all.
We can get people to install and use them for Jimmy Kimmel’s Wall of America bits… and, for some of those folks, if they can install them, then anyone can. ☺

Thanks Chris - Are there plans for JabberGuest to become WebRTC based ?
I'm not up to speed on the Acano "guest" feature - but one of the reasons JabberGuest was cool was the zero cost to license it. Granted, compute resources are necessary, but most of the time those already exist.

Lelio,
There is a plugin required for Jabber Guest to function. It is NOT WebRTC based and therefore requires these plugins. The plugins are fast and easy and don’t even require a browser restart, so they should not be overly difficult to install.
If you are looking for a plugin free client. The new Cisco Meetings Server (Acano) is WebRTC based and is something you could investigate.

I have seen on more than one occasion that Jabber guest needs you to download a client or extension or something or another.
Is this the intention? I expected that Jabber guest was to be a clientless solution so someone outside of the organization could call you quickly without dealing with that sort of stuff.
