Curious, are you updating them all with similar or different information?

I've used the "by query" or something like that to update a batch of phones - but of course, with similar information.

Subject: [cisco-voip] BAT import/export on phones

So, trying to update ~600 devices in my environment, but having a bit of an issue with the BAT. I know I could do a Phones>Export – All Details and then a Phones>Insert>All Details to get all the data updated, but I figured that so I wouldn’t have to filter through all the garbage, I’d make a specifics format. This worked great for generating a report for me, but I can’t find a good way to reimport it. The Insert specific details on 9x at least seems to enforce the selection of a phone template as part of the insert function if you don’t do all details. Is there an easy way to update all these without doing an All Details insert?
