[cisco-voip] Register MX300 G2 to CMR Cloud

Are you speaking about registering the endpoint to the Collaboration Cloud (Spark), or being able to use the endpoint with CMR Cloud?

CMR Cloud is really nothing more than a specialize URI string (Meeting.Company. at webex.com<http://webex.com>) in a b2b call through expressway (which by the way, will not burn a traversal license as long as the URI is not transformed in Expressway).

You'd also need to turn the CMR Cloud feature on in your WebEx Administration portal.

If you don't want to have a call control server to register the endpoint to, you could register to the Expressway control server. However, you cannot register the endpoint to WebEx cloud (CMR Cloud).

If you are talking about Collaboration Cloud (read Spark), then yes, a MX300 G2 can register to Spark. You would need to upgrade the codec's firmware to the latest Collaboration Endpoint (CE) version if it is still using the old Telepresence firmware.

Here is a list of codecs that can register to the Collaboration Cloud (Spark): https://support.ciscospark.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2349263-cisco-spark-room-devices-guide

Thanks,

Ryan

Hello Group

We have new Webex Accounts with CMR.
It is possible to connect and register a MX300 G2 direct to CMR Cloud. We want to use it for Webexmeetings but we don't want to have a on premise installation to register the MX300 G2 to.

Thanks for help
Regards Reto
