We just got one of these in to demo and I see what you're saying. 

The VESA mount is pretty cornball and doesn't seem to be designed to support the unit much more than sort of holding it against the top frame of the display. 

Of course we stuck it on top of a Cleartouch display panel which is also not a good idea, as there's not much surface, and the flimsy mount is not helping us here either, I ended up wedging a piece of packing foam between the unit and the wall to keep it from falling backwards. 

If this were to be installed permanently I would just use the wall mount, or see if there's an option/fabricate something that emulates the behind-the-screen bracket but with a more substantial piece of metal to support the wall bracket itself. 

Our room and conferencing guys would rather the bar be mounted under the display for a better camera angle anyways - however it doesn't appear you can invert the camera at all so that has its own problems for wiring and dressing.
