[cisco-voip] [External] Re: Jabber client missing Advanced Settings

Okay, so this is sort of complicated, because I built it on top of my AXL
framework, called axlrows. So the setup steps are like this:

1. Be running macOS/Linux. (Sorry. If you are on Windows, try WSL, or try
whining until someone gives you a Linux VM to log into)
2. Get git, python3, and virtualenv onto your computer.
3. git clone https://github.com/uah/axlrows
4. virtualenv --python=python3 axlrows-venv
5. source axlrows-venv/bin/activate
6. pip install --upgrade ./axlrows/

Now, you can go grab the magic jabber button script here:
https://gist.github.com/hf0002/3f0b5a9e88e8f7ea90cdccb93faabc7e

You need the magic-jabber-button.py and will need to replace a couple of
hardcoded things in the py. "THIS_SERVERS_IP" and "
YOUR_USERS_ROUTE_PARTITION"
You will also need the config.json file in the same directory, and you have
to put your AD and CUCM credentials in there.
Finally, if your users' phone number is stored anywhere but in their
'ipPhone' attribute in AD, you will have to modify the script some.

I am willing to best-effort support this thing if someone wants to use it.
Just email me off-list. I have already bashed out the hard part so it would
be no problem to make minor changes to the script for your use case.

axlrows does lots more stuff but I won't go into that here. Have a look if
you think you could use a library like this in Python3.
