4.1(2) as well. I'm eager to heare from anyone that has done something
similar.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>From what I've gathered, we'll have to be more
worried about what happens after the upgrade then the actual upgrade itself. By
this I mean the changes that come along with v4.x. For example, directory
numbers are now it's own object, and deleting a phone does not delete the
directory numbers associated with that phone -> that's an administration
change that has to take place.. Another example is that voicemail ports are
handled differently and there are steps to take before and after the upgrade to
ensure voicemail access works properly. Those are just two that I've noticed -
changes to the phone , animated icons etc, will also have to be properly
advertised to clients.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Since each version lists the 'new features'
seperately, it will be important to become familiar with the release notes for
4.0(1), 4.0(2) and 4.1(2). </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>And of course, testing things in a test environment
is key.</FONT></DIV>
