<div>I have about 60 IP phones installed. The majority are 7960s with about a dozen 7970s installed. I have only seen this problem once with a 7970 phone. I didn't spend too much time troubleshooting and emidiatly RMAd the device. When on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I spoke with a friend whos company has been deploying Cisco Voip and they only complaint was the handset failure rate. Apperently they have seen quite a few.
