font-family:Arial'>We recently had Verizon turn on inbound caller ID name on
three PRIs. These are terminated on two WS-X6608 blades in two different 6509
switches.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>Normally we run PRI 4ESS as the PRI Protocol Type in the
Gateway configuration and it has been this way for over two years.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'> However we were told by Verizon that the switch is
actually running NI2. So I turned on NI2 and sure enough, the </span></font>Send
Calling Name In Facility IE option became available in the <font size=2
face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>inbound caller ID
option under "PRI Protocol Type Specific Information". After I
checked this option and reset the gateway the caller name started showing up on
inbound calls.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

longer make outbound calls. Obviously, this went over real big, so I
immediately changed everything back.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
