'mtp required' checked on any mgcp, sip, or h323 gateway configuration
- how many 'trunks' attached to each gateway? 1 ds0 = 1 MTP<br>
<br>
remote sites at g729 with central site Unity or CRA setup for g711
only. how many calls active to cra or unity? 1 call = 1 MTP<br>
<br>
the software MTP built into the ipvmsapp.exe process on CM supports
g711 only - typically invoked for gateway calls with 'mtp required'.
6608, 4604, CMM, and IOS transcoders are actually a subset of MTP and
CM allocates them as an MTP resource.<br>

at present we have on Media resource group set up with Annunciator,
Conference
bridge, Media Termination Point and Music On Hold. We are currently
adding this
MR group into the devices of all our remote sites. </span></font></p>
